Pivots are when we deliberately make a move or motion towards a different direction. 
As a basketball coach I can be heard from the sidelines using that word at least once per quarter during our games.  “Pivot and drive” “Pivot and Go” and sometimes the nonsensical ramblings towards the kids like “Pivot Pivot Pivot!”  Please don’t judge me, 8th grade basketball can get intense :).

We also must pivot in our careers.  Making strides towards tapping into our passions more, a move that might challenge us financially or personally in the short term, or a physical move that plants us somewhere else in the world for a period of time.

Have you made a pivot lately?  

Is there a pivot you have wanted to do in your work but it has been holding you back as of late?

It takes a little bit of courage and plenty of action but we will only see what we are made out of if we decide to pivot.

That pivot is here for me and now for you at Marketing Fun With Mike.
We are going to make a pivot towards a true focus on applications that will help you take your professional career to the next level.  The content will still be positive, passionate, and inspiring (at least if you think it is now!) but there will be a real focus towards how the business person and the entrepreneur can get to where they need to get in their work.

Whew!  The pivot is out there so now it’s time to stick with it.
