Fighting the Good Fight

We all go through a period of time I believe when we start to question if the work we are doing is worth it or has the impact we hoped for.

When that little devil jumps onto your shoulder and tells you the breakthroughs you have been striving for just aren’t going to happen.  That it’s time to pack up your bags and go do something a little safer and a little more secure.

I know and can empathize first hand how frustrating it can be when you feel like you are tapping into your passions, trying to build something extraordinary, or just doing what’s right and you start to think that nobody cares!

When we start to feel that way impatience takes hold of the great work we are trying to accomplish and can stuff it into a recycling bin like a wadded up piece of paper.

That’s when for me personally my mind drifts to the thought of “Is it worth fighting the good fight?”
Is all that time, energy, and dedication worth something?
I’ve been there, I’m sure you have been there, and we’ll all be there again.

Here’s what I have to say about the good fight.

We are all going to be “fighting” in some sort of way each and every day.  When I use the word fighting I refer to a hustle and a mindset to do your work, live your life, and how you spend your day.
If you give up the “good fight” you will still have to “fight the bad fight.”  It doesn’t just disappear and go away.

Your time and energy will still be exerted on activities and there will still be frustrations and shortcomings.
The grass isn’t always greener on the other side.
In this week of being thankful I offer to you the reminder that no matter how frustrating “the good fight” might seem to get to not cave in and give up on it.
Fight to tap into your passions, fight to make a difference, fight to enjoy and be grateful every day, and fight to live in the moment.

It’s a delusion if we think that when we stop fighting the good fight that the bad fight will be easy, smooth sailing, and make us into the success we envision.  It might, or it might not.  But it certainly won’t inspire us or push ourselves and those around us to new heights.

Which is why you must keep fighting the good fight!

If you want to take your good fight to the next level I suggest taking on one of my Recipes.  The Efficiency and Personal Branding Recipes are HERE to help you continue on with the good fight.
As for a holiday book for a friend…both of mine are available HERE.

Thanks for reading.  Thanks for sharing.  Thanks for fighting on.  You motivate me to do the same!
