Ten Years

My wife is celebrating her ten year anniversary of living in Columbus Ohio today!
It got me thinking…
About the random occurrences that happened for us to wind up in the same city together.
Then after she had lived here for almost a year for us to wind up working at the same radio station together.
Then for us to be friends at first then down the road in a few more years eventually wind up together.

Just to get us each into position to see the love and the care that we had for each other was like being a lottery winner.
Ten years goes by pretty fast whether you bask in each moment and seize the day or if you let life control your reactions and emotions and you feel distant from the world.
No matter how you live it can fly by.
But on the other hand in that time frame you can also get a lot accomplished and truly make a dent on this universe that you hoped to make!

I challenge you today to remember the last ten years and be as thankful and grateful for them as I am.

Then to take it to the next level what do you want to do in the next ten years?
Write down ten things and start taking action.  The groundwork is there for what we talk about on this blog.
Tapping into your passions, practice the concept of Carpe Diem, building ideas from the ground up, finding your hot dog stand, having fun, giving back, etc!
Those practices will help you start taking action and eventually accomplish whatever it is you want to do.

I'll throw a few of mine out there for you!

1) Have five "Extraordinaire Recipes" available to you.  The first one on Efficiency is due out January 2nd, sign up for the newsletter to be the first to get it!
2) Start a family and get a dog.
3) Climb Mount Kilamanjaro in Africa and hike the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu.
4) Turn our one day 97.1 The Fan Youth Basketball Camp into a week long camp!
5) Celebrate another ten years hanging out with my best friend.

It might have been a random anniversary to celebrate, ten years in one city, but we should always remember those special times and celebrate something if it is important to us or the world!

Keep your list to yourself, post one in the comments, or if you want to look at digging deeper on one with a 1 on 1 grill out session with me hit me up at Mike@MarketingFunWithMike.com.

Thanks for being part of the crew and for being here.  The new website is just about done and the Efficiency Recipe will be out January 2nd, more to come on that.

Spread good vibes, demand the best from yourself, Carpe Diem!
